Sophie Bergmann currently serves as Deputy Chief Performance Officer in the Office of Maryland Governor Wes Moore. She previously served as a Policy Advisor in the Governor’s Office.
Prior to the Moore-Miller Administration, Sophie led team-wide planning and coordination efforts as a Senior Manager of Solutions at Results for America. Over her six years at Results for America, she also managed the What Works Cities Economic Mobility Initiative and supported the organization’s Local Government and What Works Nonprofit Fellowships. These efforts bolstered government and nonprofit leaders in using data and evidence to better serve individuals and communities.
Before joining Results for America, Sophie served as a Confidential Assistant in the Office for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Education. Sophie earned her bachelor’s degree in public policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
